It’s the world’s worst stored secret that Nvidia is about to announce its personal Arm-powered laptop computer chips at Computex this weekend, and now Microsoft, Nvidia, and Arm are all overtly teasing the announcement. The Home windows and Nvidia GeForce accounts on X each posted “A brand new period of PC” earlier todayand now Arm has adopted up with an identical post.
All three posts embody coordinates pointing to the place Computex is hosted in Taipei. Nvidia is holding a Computex keynote in Taipei at 8PM PT / 11PM ET on Sunday evening, the place it’s rumored to be saying its new N1 and N1x laptop computer chips.
These Arm-powered Nvidia processors have been long-rumored, with studies earlier this year suggesting that each Lenovo and Dell have been getting ready new laptops with the N1X chips. We first heard rumors about Nvidia’s laptop computer processors in 2023and Dell CEO Michael Dell hinted at the potential of an AI PC with Nvidia throughout an interview in 2024.
Nvidia’s entry into Home windows on Arm will imply Qualcomm will not have an unique license for Microsoft’s Home windows 11 Arm variant of its working system. That’s excellent news for laptop computer competitors, even when Qualcomm is attempting to maintain entry-level laptops reasonably priced with its new Snapdragon C platform.
