A French soldier was killed and three had been injured on Saturday within the south Lebanon. This assault in opposition to peacekeepers was confirmed by Emmanuel Macron who accuses the Hezbollah to be on the origin of this assault. In keeping with the Minister of the Armed Forces, the French soldier was killed by “direct hearth” in an ambush.
“The Nation bows with respect and extends its help to the households of our troopers and to all our troopers dedicated to peace in Lebanon. Every part means that accountability for this assault lies with Hezbollah. France calls for that the Lebanese authorities instantly arrest the culprits and take accountability alongside the UNIFIL », declared the French head of state on X.
